The Tribit Xsound Go is the better-sounding, lighter option. Well balanced sound. At 0.8 lbs (380 g) it weighs much less than the Sony SRS-XE300 at 2.9 lbs (1.3 kg). It keeps a wired aux input, which the Sony SRS-XE300 lacks. The catch: Lacking quite a bit of bass compared to bigger speakers.
The case for the Sony SRS-XE300: Orientation-aware playback switches to stereo when laid flat. It supports LDAC Bluetooth, which the Tribit Xsound Go lacks. The tradeoff: Muffled sounding, not very deep bass.
Buy the Tribit Xsound Go. It is rated higher for sound quality; the Sony SRS-XE300 is no longer sold new.
