Short answer: the Willen II if brand and balanced tuning matter to you and the price isn’t a concern; the PocketGo if you want a much cheaper speaker that still pairs with a second unit for stereo. The Willen II out-ranks the PocketGo and is the more balanced-sounding of the two, with no sharp treble according to our own notes - though it isn’t especially deep in the bass either, and its output tops out fairly low compared to pricier speakers, with some midrange congestion at volume.
The PocketGo has two things the Willen II doesn’t: TWS pairing and a lower price. Buy two PocketGos and you get real stereo separation, something the Willen II’s spec sheet doesn’t support at all. The PocketGo also runs a few hours longer on battery and undercuts the Willen II by nearly four times on price. Neither has an aux input - both are Bluetooth-only.
Buy the Willen II for Marshall’s tuning and brand if the price fits your budget. Buy the PocketGo if you want TWS pairing and a much lower cost.

Pros: Fuller low end than the JBL Go 5, despite the JBL’s clearer, more typical JBL sound. Costs about half the price of the JBL Go 5. Can stand, hang from its loop, or lay flat on its feet for flexible placement. About on par with the Soundcore Select 4 Go, and a touch louder at lower volumes. App support with signature EQ and customization.
Cons: Battery life isn’t the biggest for this speaker class. JBL Go 5 has better build quality plus lightshow, Auracast, and AirTouch. Loses more bass than the Soundcore Select 4 Go at maximum volume. Slightly nasal quality to the sound.
