Short answer: the Zealot ZE41 for bass, play time and max volume. Our notes call it the absolute best value in the boombox class on those counts at $219.95, though it is the heaviest and biggest boombox speaker around. The Soundcore Rave Party 2 at $159.99 is cheaper but has a poor water rating, and its ranking may still move.
On the Soundcore Rave Party 2 side: This speaker may move around in the rankings as we get better sound samples. The catch: Poor water rating.
Buy the Zealot ZE41. It is rated higher for sound quality; the Soundcore Rave Party 2 is no longer sold new.
There is a real battery-life gap here: the Soundcore Rave Party 2 is rated for 16 hours, the Zealot ZE41 only 4 hours.
