What the JBL Charge 4 does well: Doubles as a power bank for charging phones/tablets. It keeps a wired aux input, which the Soundcore Boom 3i lacks. It links with other speakers (Connect+ up to 100 speakers), which the Soundcore Boom 3i cannot. The catch: 1 Oval driver.
Buy the Soundcore Boom 3i. It is rated higher for sound quality, and the JBL Charge 4 is discontinued, so it is only available used.

Cons: Not quite as good as a JBL Charge 5, doesn’t go quite as loud or sound quite as balanced, but very very close. An earlier firmware version had some bass distortion, update your firmware in the Soundcore App
