Short answer: the Onkyo GX-30ARC. It ranks #56 of 105 powered bookshelf speakers by sound quality, rated 3.7/5, at $249. The Onkyo Creator Series GX-10DB ranks #26, rated 3.3/5, at $159, $90 cheaper, which does not close the gap in sound quality.
Why pick the Onkyo GX-30ARC: HDMI ARC, USB-C, optical and analog inputs make it a convenient compact system for a desk or TV. Watch for: The response rises toward the treble by about 0.48dB per octave.
Why pick the Onkyo Creator Series GX-10DB: The smaller sibling of the Onkyo GX-30ARC, with a 3” woofer and 0.75” tweeter per side, 34W total, Bluetooth 5.3, USB-C, optical, an RCA input that switches to phono, a subwoofer output and wooden desk stands. The catch: No independent measurements yet, so its tonal balance and directivity can’t be compared with ranked speakers.
Buy the Onkyo GX-30ARC. It is rated higher for sound quality, and the $90 saving on the Onkyo Creator Series GX-10DB is not enough to make up the difference.
Worth knowing: the Onkyo Creator Series GX-10DB has not been measured yet. Its rating is estimated from related models, with a likely range of 3.0 to 3.6, so treat this verdict as provisional.

The Two Speakers In Full
Onkyo GX-30ARC: $249.00 per pair Amazon B&H Photo Video eBay
Same family: the Onkyo Creator Series GX-10DB (smaller bookshelf, estimated 3.3/5).
Pros: HDMI ARC, USB-C, optical and analog inputs make it a convenient compact system for a desk or TV. Erin’s Klippel data gives a 3.69 standalone preference score and 6.42 with an ideal subwoofer. The midrange response spans 3.8dB, offering usable but not reference-level tonal performance.
Cons: The response rises toward the treble by about 0.48dB per octave. Bass reaches -3dB around 74Hz, not the lower LFX value used inside the preference model. Vertical listening position affects crossover balance. Its extensive connectivity does not compensate for response irregularities, and the published tonal data alone does not establish maximum clean output.

Onkyo Creator Series GX-10DB: $159.00 per pair Estimated Amazon eBay
Same family: the Onkyo GX-30ARC (larger bookshelf, rated 3.7/5).
Pros: The smaller sibling of the Onkyo GX-30ARC, with a 3” woofer and 0.75” tweeter per side, 34W total, Bluetooth 5.3, USB-C, optical, an RCA input that switches to phono, a subwoofer output and wooden desk stands.
Cons: No independent measurements yet, so its tonal balance and directivity can’t be compared with ranked speakers. Rated only to 70Hz and Tom’s Hardware found bass limited without a subwoofer. Unlike the GX-30ARC it has no HDMI ARC.
