Short answer: the SVS SB-1000 is the stronger value for deep bass, while the Dynamo 700w is the smaller sealed option. Independent CEA-2010 measurements give the SVS a 3.2dB advantage at 25Hz and a 2.5dB advantage at 31.5Hz, despite very similar cabinet weight.
Both subs are most convincing from 40Hz upward, where their averaged output is nearly tied. The SB-1000’s 12-inch driver gives it more margin on low movie effects, plus it carries a five-year warranty. The MartinLogan’s 10-inch cabinet is a little smaller in every dimension.
Buy the MartinLogan Dynamo 700w if a compact sealed subwoofer and strong upper-bass impact matter more than the lowest octave.
Buy the SVS SB-1000 if you want more measured output below 40Hz from a similarly sized sealed design.

Pros: Independent CEA-2010 testing records 86.3 dB at 20 Hz and 109.0 dB (avg of 3/4 bands) through 40-80 Hz. The sealed enclosure with 10” (254mm) driver delivers substantial upper-bass output for movie effects and music.
Cons: Deep-bass output is more limited than the strong 40-80 Hz result suggests, so it is not the right choice when the lowest movie effects are the priority. The 318.5H x 296.9W x 318.3D mm cabinet and 12.0 kg mass still require deliberate placement and calibration.
