Short answer: the Marshall Middleton. It ranks #34 of 102 large speakers by sound quality (rated 4.0/5) at $149.99 and is still sold new; the Dali Katch G1 ranks #83 (rated 2.8/5) and is discontinued, so it is only an option used.
The Marshall Middleton is the better-sounding pick. Very deep bass for the size/weight. It links with other speakers (Marshall Stack), which the Dali Katch G1 cannot. The catch: 5db dip at 1.7kHz and 6.3kHz.
The Dali Katch G1 is the lighter option. Pretty neutral. At 2.4 lbs (1.1 kg) it weighs much less than the Marshall Middleton at 4 lbs (1.8 kg). It supports aptX Bluetooth, which the Marshall Middleton lacks. Watch for: Loses bass quickly after 40% volume.
Buy the Marshall Middleton. It is rated higher for sound quality and still sold new, while the Dali Katch G1 is discontinued.

The Two Speakers In Full
Marshall Middleton: $149.99 Amazon eBay
Newer model: the Marshall Middleton II, ranked higher, rated 4.1/5.
Smaller models: the Marshall Emberton III (rated 2.7/5) and the Marshall Willen II (rated 4/5).
Pros: Very deep bass for the size/weight. Measured bass extension of 39Hz (-10dB).
Cons: 5db dip at 1.7kHz and 6.3kHz. 9kHz treble peak. Not a very smooth frequency response. A lot of Marshall’s added dsp echo which cannot be turned off, very distracting and annoying. It’s like forcing you to listen to your music in an echo chamber. Bass is reasonably deep but artificial sounding and flabby, with no attack and no dynamics. Treble is rolled off.

Dali Katch G1: $279 Discontinued eBay
Newer model: the Dali Katch G2, ranked higher, rated 2.8/5.
Pros: Pretty neutral
Cons: Loses bass quickly after 40% volume. A lot of compression artifacts at high volume. External AC power brick for charging. Discontinued, superseded by the Dali Katch G2, which sounds nearly identical. Reverb added to the output screws up the imaging. Quite a hollow character to the sound.
