Short answer: the Sony ULT Field 3 on placement and price. It ranks #71 of 179 medium speakers at $208, a stronger placement than the Emberton II’s #127 of 179 at $151.99. The Sony is IP67 dustproof and water resistant, though it sounds a bit hollow with boosted treble; the Emberton II counters with a 30 hour battery, but has an echo-like coloration and bass that is not as deep as competitors.
Buy the Sony ULT Field 3. It is rated higher for sound quality, and saving $56.01 with the Marshall Emberton II does not make up for the sound-quality gap.
