Short answer: the Genelec 8341A, because its on-axis accuracy is in another class. At $6,590 against $999.99, its spinorama shows an exceptionally flat on-axis response within about +1.8dB/-2.2dB of target, plus excellent directivity from the coaxial midrange/tweeter and dual 6.5” woofers, though the bass amplifier runs out of headroom first. The Nines are Erin’s favorite Klipsch speaker he has heard, but needed a -2dB tweeter trim.

The Two Speakers In Full
Klipsch The Nines: $999.99 per pair Crutchfield eBay
Pros: The 1.7dB response span from 300Hz to 5kHz supports even mids, and measured -3dB extension is 42.5Hz. Extensive consumer connections and app adjustment make it convenient for TV and music, while the horn provides a focused listening presentation. Erin called it his favorite Klipsch speaker. Measured bass extension of 42.5Hz (-3dB), with a measured sensitivity of 82.5dB.
Cons: The 6.90 ideal-subwoofer score reflects limitations beyond the narrow midband span. Horizontal coverage is relatively focused, so placement matters for multiple seats. The reviewer preferred reduced treble, and bass limiting at higher playback levels means the large woofer is not a guarantee of unlimited output. The app’s flat setting leaves treble elevated; Erin preferred a -2dB tweeter trim.

Genelec 8341A: $6590 per pair B&H Photo Video eBay
Pros: An 8.52 ideal-subwoofer preference score and 1.2dB response span from 300Hz to 5kHz place the measured vertical configuration among the strongest tonal performers here. Coaxial radiation and GLM support precise nearfield imaging and room integration. Measured bass extension of 47.6Hz (-3dB).
Cons: Measured -3dB extension is 47.6Hz, so the larger 8351B and 8361A provide more useful low-end reach and headroom. The review found bass-output limitations at demanding levels. Its excellent ideal-subwoofer score should not be read as equivalent full-range output to those larger models.
