Short answer: it comes down to value versus output. The Onn Large Party gen 2 is an insane value speaker, but it is not quite as loud as the old one. The Klipsch Gig XXL is also really amazing value for the money, though it is not quite as clean sounding as the top ranked speakers. $79.99 against $129.
Buy the Onn Large Party gen 2. It is rated higher for sound quality, and saving $49.01 with the Klipsch Gig XXL does not make up for the sound-quality gap.
There is a real gap in water resistance: the Onn Large Party gen 2 at IPX4 (splashing) against the Klipsch Gig XXL, which has no water resistance.
