The Kanto Tuk G2 is the deeper-bass pick. A desk or living room pair with solid bass for its size, optical, USB-C, aptX Adaptive Bluetooth and a subwoofer output. Its bass reaches about 52Hz before falling 3dB, against 63Hz for the Airpulse A100. It supports aptX Adaptive Bluetooth, which the Airpulse A100 lacks. Watch for: On-axis response is uneven, with elevated upper bass around 80 to 100Hz, a forward midrange near 800Hz to 1.5kHz and further ripples through the treble.
What the Airpulse A100 does well: A compact powered pair with a ribbon tweeter, Bluetooth, digital inputs, a remote and a subwoofer output. It keeps a wired aux input, which the Kanto Tuk G2 lacks. The tradeoff: Bass reaches -3dB around 63Hz, so lower notes need a subwoofer for full weight.
Buy the Airpulse A100. It is rated higher for sound quality, and the $100 saving on the Kanto Tuk G2 is not enough to make up the difference.
