The JBL Partybox Encore is the better-sounding, deeper-bass choice. A great sounding party speaker with somewhat boosted bass and two included wireless microphones. Its bass reaches about 38Hz before falling 10dB, against 49Hz for the JBL Partybox On the Go. It links with other speakers (PartyBoost up to 100 speakers), which the JBL Partybox On the Go cannot. It has an adjustable EQ, which the JBL Partybox On the Go lacks. The tradeoff: Only IPX4 splash resistance.
What the JBL Partybox On the Go does well: JBL Partybox On the Go uses 5.1” woofer + tweeters. Watch for: Bass is limited by its 49Hz specification.
