JBL Partybox 110 vs Soundcore Boom 2 Plus

Last updated: September 26, 2026

Different classes, so treat this as a step-up-or-not question rather than a head-to-head. The JBL Partybox 110 ranks #9 of 40 party speakers by sound quality at $379.95; the Soundcore Boom 2 Plus ranks #29 of 76 boombox speakers by sound quality at $179.99.

JBL Partybox 110 vs Soundcore Boom 2 Plus

The case for the JBL Partybox 110: Very neutral sound, slightly better than the Partybox 100. The catch: Bass isn’t as deep as the Partybox 100.

What the Soundcore Boom 2 Plus does well: Quite a bit lighter than most of the other boombox size speakers. Watch for: Warm tuning meaning a rolled off treble and some upper bass boost.

Buy the JBL Partybox 110 ($379.95) for a party speaker; the Soundcore Boom 2 Plus ($179.99) suits a boombox speaker instead.

There is a real battery-life gap here: the Soundcore Boom 2 Plus is rated for 20 hours, the JBL Partybox 110 only 12 hours.

If water resistance matters to you, the Soundcore Boom 2 Plus at IPX7 (brief submersion) holds up far better than the JBL Partybox 110 at IPX4 (splashing).
