JBL Partybox 110 vs onn Portable FM Boombox

Last updated: September 26, 2026

Short answer: these are not really competing for the same buyer, so pick based on what you actually need. The Partybox 110 ranks #9 of 43 party speakers; the onn Portable FM Boombox ranks #26 of 83 large speakers, at a small fraction of the price.

JBL Partybox 110 vs onn Portable FM Boombox

The Partybox 110 is a dedicated party speaker with a genuinely accurate default sound. Its own pros call it very neutral, a slight step up from the Partybox 100, and it is built as a real party speaker rather than a boombox-style portable. Its only real knock is that its bass isn’t quite as deep as the Partybox 100 it replaced, plus a JBL-only daisychain feature that won’t talk to non-JBL speakers.

The onn Portable FM Boombox is a different tool for a different job, and it does that job well for the price. Its pros describe extremely good value, an IPX7 rating that lets it float, an FM tuner with 10 presets, 6 multicolor LED lighting effects, and the flexibility to run on battery or plugged in. Its cons are modest: a frequency response that is reasonable but not class leading, and no custom EQ to shape it. It is also considerably more water resistant than the Partybox 110, which is rated IPX4 for splashes only.

Everything else reflects the price gap: the Partybox 110 has an app with 3 band EQ, karaoke-mode microphone input, and a guitar input the onn lacks; the onn counters with a built-in FM tuner and a floating IPX7 shell the Partybox 110 doesn’t have.

Buy the Partybox 110 if you want a dedicated, more neutral-sounding party speaker and karaoke features, and $305.12 more is within budget.

Buy the onn Portable FM Boombox if you want a genuinely good budget speaker with FM radio and float-in-water durability, and don’t need dedicated party-speaker features like microphone or guitar inputs.
