The Boombox 2 delivers 24 hours at default volume and 20+ hours at 60%, though it is somewhat bass heavy and boomy. The original Boombox links up to 100 speakers over Connect+, but its treble is not very smooth.
Buy the JBL Boombox 2 only if you find one used in good condition; both are discontinued, and it is the better rated of the two. For a new speaker, start with the Tribit Stormbox Blast instead.
