Hopestar H54 vs JBL Go 3

Last updated: August 8, 2026

Short answer: the Go 3, and it’s the cheaper one. It ranks #26 of 47 small speakers at $39.95; the H54 ranks #37 at $59.99, $20 more.

The H54’s feature list covers the basics: IPX7 waterproofing, microSD support, TWS pairing, and a built-in microphone. Our notes describe the sound as bright treble with not much bass and harsh mids.

The Go 3’s complaints are similarly blunt: not much bass at all, with a strange peak in the mids. Its case is a genuinely pocket-sized 209g build and full submersion protection at a meter for 30 minutes.

Buy the Go 3 for the better ranking and lower price. Neither is a bass speaker, so check the small speaker ranking if that matters to you.
