Older model: the Genelec 7070A (rated 3.6/5).
Pros: 12-inch (305mm) driver with a 400W Class D amplifier. Genelec rates it at 19-100Hz within 3dB and at least 113dB short-term maximum output. Analog and AES/EBU digital XLR inputs and outputs, and GLM network control with AutoCal 2 room calibration.
Cons: No independent measurements yet, so its output can’t be compared with ranked subwoofers. Room calibration needs Genelec’s GLM kit or 9320A controller, sold separately, and at 48kg it is heavy for its size.

Newer model: the Genelec 7370A. It’s likely to perform similarly, though we don’t have measurements to confirm that yet.
Pros: Independent CEA-2010 testing records 100.6 dB at 20 Hz and 112.0 dB through 40-80 Hz. The ported, bottom enclosure with 12” (305mm) driver delivers substantial upper-bass output for movie effects and music.
Cons: Deep-bass output is more limited than the strong 40-80 Hz result suggests, so it is not the right choice when the lowest movie effects are the priority. The 625.1H x 555.0W x 490.0D mm cabinet and 50.0 kg mass still require deliberate placement and calibration. Discontinued.
