Short answer: the Neumann KH120 MKII on measurements. Its CEA2034 spinorama is about as flat as the reviewer has measured, with excellent directivity aside from a small blip around 2kHz. The Focal Alpha 50 EVO is more neutral than the great HS5, which is its stated strength, against the Neumann’s flat response and excellent directivity.
Buy the Neumann KH120 MKII. It is rated higher for sound quality, and the $1,240 saving on the Focal Alpha 50 EVO is not enough to make up the difference.
