What the Edifier S1000W does well: An all-in-one powered pair with Wi-Fi streaming, Bluetooth, and several digital and analog inputs. The catch: High-resolution input support does not itself improve acoustic accuracy.
Buy the Edifier S3000MKII, the replacement for the discontinued Edifier S3000Pro; it is rated higher for sound quality than the Edifier S1000W.
