Short answer: the Edifier S1000MKII on balance, since the NHT Pro M-00 has a critical measured flaw. Amir identified a sudden suck-out in the upper bass frequencies on the NHT that affects many commonly-used notes, despite its cast aluminum-zinc alloy enclosure that doubles as a heatsink and its RCA plus XLR/TRS inputs. The S1000MKII offers a high resolution digital input up to 192kHz/24bit, but no independent measurements exist.
Buy the Edifier S1000MKII. It is rated higher for sound quality; the NHT Pro M-00 is no longer sold new.
