It keeps a wired aux input, which the Edifier S1000W lacks. It has an adjustable EQ, which the Edifier S1000W lacks. The catch: Erin’s CTA-2034 data shows upper-midrange and treble irregularities, while off-axis response narrows more quickly than ideal above about 2-3kHz.
Why pick the Edifier S1000W: An all-in-one powered pair with Wi-Fi streaming, Bluetooth, and several digital and analog inputs. The tradeoff: High-resolution input support does not itself improve acoustic accuracy.
