The Airpulse A100 is the better-sounding, deeper-bass option. ASR’s Klippel data gives a 2.9dB midrange span and scores of 4.56 standalone and 7.08 with an ideal subwoofer. Its bass reaches about 63Hz before falling 3dB, against 83.3Hz for the NHT Pro M-00. It keeps a wired aux input, which the NHT Pro M-00 lacks. Watch for: Bass reaches -3dB around 63Hz, so lower notes need a subwoofer for full weight.
Why pick the NHT Pro M-00: A sturdy metal enclosure, analog studio/consumer connections and selectable nearfield/farfield voicing give it practical features as an older powered monitor. The catch: The review identifies a pronounced upper-bass cancellation, treble peaks and problematic vertical response, and strongly prefers the JBL 305P MKII in direct listening.
Buy the Airpulse A100. It is rated higher for sound quality and still sold new, while the NHT Pro M-00 is discontinued.

Cons: Bass reaches -3dB around 63Hz, so lower notes need a subwoofer for full weight. Listening-window narrow-band deviation of 0.419 shows more local tonal variation than the leading monitors.
