Short answer: it depends on whether you want rugged portability or maximum bass. The EcoXGear Defender delivers 121dB with IP67 waterproof and dustproof protection and floats, though its bass is not as deep as competitors. The Zealot ZE41 is the absolute best value in the boombox class for bass performance, play time and max volume, at the cost of being the heaviest and biggest boombox speaker around.
Buy the Zealot ZE41. It is rated higher for sound quality than the EcoXGear Defender and costs less, which makes it the one to get unless you need something the other one does better.
Battery life favors the EcoXGear Defender: rated for 25 hours against 4 hours for the Zealot ZE41.
