Short answer: the Cambridge Audio L/R X, if you are buying new. The Dynaudio Core 47 measures as well as it (#75 vs #76 of 119 powered bookshelf speakers, 4.1/5 vs 4.1/5) but is discontinued, so only consider it used; the Cambridge Audio L/R X is still sold new at $2,399.
What the Dynaudio Core 47 does well: A professional three-way studio monitor with useful bass and flexible installation controls, with analog and digital inputs. The catch: The measured 3.1dB response span from 300Hz to 5kHz and listening-window unevenness keep it below the leading accuracy choices.
What the Cambridge Audio L/R X does well: Active speakers with HDMI eARC, a phono input, Wi-Fi streaming, wide even dispersion, and solid bass. The tradeoff: On-axis response is less linear than the L/R S, with dips in the bass, a peak around 1-2kHz, and a dip spanning the upper mid-range into the lower treble; Cambridge confirmed the dip is a deliberate DSP notch for a tweeter breakup resonance rather than a driver flaw, but it was audible as a mild suck-out in an AB pink-noise comparison.
Buy the Cambridge Audio L/R X new; the Dynaudio Core 47 is no longer sold new, so it only makes sense as a used find.
