The Soundbox XL’s spec sheet covers the basics: 32W output, IPX4 splashproof, a microSD slot, and a dual woofer setup with a built-in subwoofer. Our notes describe the resulting sound as a little hollow, its one real complaint.
The Motion Boom is the budget benchmark of this class. Our notes call it excellent budget-friendly value with a genuine 24-hour battery and a buoyant waterproof design, and its only knock is being less neutral and detailed than the top of the class.
