The Sonos Roam 2 is the battery-powered, tougher choice. A small Wi-Fi and Bluetooth speaker with water resistance, Alexa built in and Sonos multiroom support. Its battery is rated for 10 hours, while the Denon Home 150 needs an outlet. It is rated IPX5, while the Denon Home 150 has no water resistance. It supports AAC Bluetooth, which the Denon Home 150 lacks. The tradeoff: Exact same sound quality as the original Sonos Roam.
One note: the Denon Home 150 is discontinued, but it still ranks #6 of 15 powered desktop speakers by sound quality, ahead of most of what is still sold new, so it is worth considering used. The Denon Home 150’s replacement, the Denon Home 200, is rated 3.6/5 at $399.
