What the Dali Katch G2 gets right: Pretty neutral The tradeoff: Loses bass quickly after 40% volume. A lot of compression artifacts at high volume. External AC power brick for charging. Horribly overpriced. Nearly identical to the Dali Katch G1. Reverb added to the output screws up the imaging.
On the Soundcore Select Pro side: Sounds almost exactly like the Motion Boom Watch for: Boosted bass, rolled off treble. Not as neutral or detailed as other top ranked speakers.
Buy the Soundcore Select Pro. It ranks higher for sound quality than the Dali Katch G2 and costs less, so the other one has nothing left to offer.
The Dali Katch G2 is not a sound-quality pick. It sits near the bottom of the 77 large speakers; there are better options higher up.
There is a real battery-life gap here: the Dali Katch G2 is rated for 30 hours, the Soundcore Select Pro only 16 hours.
