Short answer: the Marshall Middleton for bass depth, but its DSP echo is a dealbreaker. It delivers very deep bass for its size and weight, yet the response is not smooth, with a 5dB dip at 1.7kHz and 6.3kHz plus a 9kHz treble peak, and Marshall’s added DSP echo cannot be turned off. The DALI Katch G2 is pretty neutral but loses bass after 40% volume and is called horribly overpriced.
Buy the Marshall Middleton. It is rated higher for sound quality than the DALI Katch G2 and costs less, so only choose the other one for a particular feature it does better.
Battery life favors the DALI Katch G2: rated for 30 hours against 20 hours for the Marshall Middleton.
