The Bose Soundlink Mini’s edge is its compact aluminum build, but our notes flag boosted upper bass, the usual Bose trait.
Buy the Soundcore Motion 100 only if you find one used in good condition; both are discontinued, and it is the better rated of the two. For a new speaker, start with the Earfun Uboom L instead.
There is a real gap in water resistance: the Soundcore Motion 100 at IPX7 (brief submersion) against the Bose Soundlink Mini, which has no water resistance.

Cons: Boosted upper bass like most Bose speakers. Upper treble rolled off. Bass doesn’t go as deep as others. Failures of the mainboard are common. Discontinued.
