What the Bose Soundlink Flex 2nd gen gets right: Pretty much identical sounding to the 1st gen. The tradeoff: Not stereo. Warm sounding with overly boosted bass which drowns out midrange detail.
What the Bose Soundlink Revolve offers: True 360° sound stays consistent no matter where you stand around it, unlike most portable speakers. Set against that: Not stereo. Strange sizzling treble, peaks and dips.
One note: the Bose Soundlink Revolve is discontinued, but it still ranks #48 of 136 medium speakers by sound quality, ahead of most of what is still sold new, so it is worth considering used.
Buy the Bose Soundlink Flex 2nd gen. It ranks higher for sound quality than the Bose Soundlink Revolve and costs less, so there is no real case for the other one.
If water resistance matters to you, the Bose Soundlink Flex 2nd gen at IP67 (brief submersion) holds up far better than the Bose Soundlink Revolve at IPX4 (splashing).
