Short answer: the Bose SoundLink Color II for balance, the Tribit Stormbox Mini for features, though neither ranks well in its class. The Mini is IPX7 waterproof with excellent 12 hour battery life, RGB LED lighting, app support with AAC, true wireless stereo and USB-C charging, but it lacks quite a bit of bass. The Color II is comfortable and tough with its soft-touch rubber coating, though its bass is boosted. Both are rated below 3.0/5 among the 164 medium speakers, and the Earfun Uboom L, ranked #2 at $49.79, is a better place to start if sound quality matters.
Buy the Bose SoundLink Color II only if you find one used in good condition; both are discontinued, and it is the better rated of the two. For a new speaker, start with the Earfun Uboom L instead.
Water resistance is not close: the Tribit Stormbox Mini is rated at IPX7 (brief submersion), well ahead of the Bose SoundLink Color II at IPX4 (splashing).
