Short answer: the Soundcore Trance for output at a fraction of the price, though neither ranks well in its class. At $49 against the Beosound Level’s $2,250, it delivers 80W with 105dB output and BassUp for body-shaking bass plus a 20,000mAh battery good for 24 hours claimed, or 18 for the Trance variant, but its mids and treble are hugely recessed. The Level is premium Scandinavian design, yet its bass is not very deep, it peaks in the midrange and it is hugely expensive. Both are rated below 3.0/5 among the 97 large speakers, and the JBL Xtreme 5, ranked #2 at $399.95, is a better place to start if sound quality matters.
Buy the B&O Beosound Level. It is rated higher for sound quality; the Soundcore Trance is no longer sold new.
If water resistance matters to you, the Soundcore Trance at IPX7 (brief submersion) holds up far better than the B&O Beosound Level at IP54 (splashing).
