Short answer: the Soundcore Select Pro for value. At $80 against the A2’s $400, it sounds almost exactly like the Motion Boom. Its bass is boosted and its treble rolled off, while the B&O Beoplay A2 active gives True360 sound from both sides but is not stereo.
Buy the B&O Beoplay A2 active or the Soundcore Select Pro, whichever you find used in better condition; both are discontinued. For a new speaker, start with the JBL Xtreme 5 instead.
If battery life is a priority, the B&O Beoplay A2 active is rated for 24 hours versus 16 hours for the Soundcore Select Pro.
There is a real gap in water resistance: the Soundcore Select Pro at IPX7 (brief submersion) against the B&O Beoplay A2 active, which has no water resistance.
