These are not really the same size class, and that is the honest framing here. The Beats Pill 2024 ranks #80 of 175 medium speakers by sound quality at $129.95; the Xdobo X8 Max ranks #82 of 105 large speakers by sound quality at $105.99.
The Beats Pill 2024 is the longer-running, lighter option. Doubles as a power bank (USB-C charge-out). It is rated for 24 hours of battery against 15 for the Xdobo X8 Max. At 1.5 lbs (680 g) it weighs much less than the Xdobo X8 Max at 6.3 lbs (2.86 kg). It supports AAC Bluetooth, which the Xdobo X8 Max lacks. The catch: Boosted upper bass, somewhat thuddy.
The case for the Xdobo X8 Max: A 6.3 lbs (2.86 kg), feature-packed boombox with claimed 100W output, a 20,000mAh battery, USB-C charging, power-bank output, IPX7 protection, aux and microSD playback, speakerphone capability and TWS. It keeps a wired aux input, which the Beats Pill 2024 lacks. It plays in stereo from a single unit, unlike the Beats Pill 2024. The tradeoff: The voicing is bass-heavy with thin, boosted highs that can turn harsh, and reviews report distortion rather than clean dynamics when pushed hard.
Buy the Beats Pill 2024 ($129.95) for a medium speaker; the Xdobo X8 Max ($105.99) suits a large speaker instead.

Xdobo X8 Max: $105.99 Amazon $105.99 eBay
Pros: A 2.86kg, feature-packed boombox with claimed 100W output, a 20,000mAh battery, USB-C charging, power-bank output, IPX7 protection, aux and microSD playback, speakerphone capability and TWS. Dual woofers and tweeters provide enough output for outdoor background music, with a roughly 52Hz -10dB bass point. Measured bass extension of ~52Hz (-10dB).
Cons: The voicing is bass-heavy with thin, boosted highs that can turn harsh, and reviews report distortion rather than clean dynamics when pushed hard. There is no app or user EQ to correct it; the limited tested water resistance and less-refined tuning make it a poor pick for critical listening.
