The AsciLab C6B is the more accurate choice. Bookshelf speakers with very accurate sound and an unusually wide, stable soundstage, for any seating position. Its measured preference score, a predictor of how neutral it sounds, is 6.33 against 4.32 for the Dynaudio Heritage Special. The catch: Bass rolls off around 50Hz in-room (F3 54Hz, F10 35Hz), so a subwoofer is needed for real extension below that.
What the Dynaudio Heritage Special does well: A limited edition bookshelf speaker with huge output for its size, robust bass, and a big, well proportioned soundstage. Watch for: At lower listening volumes, dynamic range and kick-drum punch fell short of higher-sensitivity speakers the reviewer has tested (JBL 4367, KEF Reference 1 Meta): the sheer output ceiling is impressive, but it isn’t a highly dynamic-sounding speaker at modest levels.
Buy the AsciLab C6B. It is rated higher for sound quality than the Dynaudio Heritage Special and costs less, which makes it the one to get unless you need something the other one does better.
