The HomePod 2nd Gen is the better home speaker for Apple users. A 4-inch high-excursion woofer and five horn tweeters give natural, spacious sound that What Hi-Fi rated five stars, and it measures the room and retunes itself as you move it. It plays Dolby Atmos and stereo-pairs. It streams only over AirPlay and needs a power outlet.
The Move 2 is a Wi-Fi speaker you can carry outside. A mid-woofer and two angled tweeters play in stereo, it claims 24 hours of battery, is rated IP56, and adds Bluetooth and an aux input on top of Wi-Fi. Its sound is warm with somewhat rolled-off treble, and it is not very loud. At 6.6 lbs (3 kg) it is portable rather than pocketable.
Buy the Apple HomePod 2nd Gen ($349) for a powered desktop speaker; the Sonos Move 2 ($480) suits a large speaker instead.
If water resistance matters to you, the Sonos Move 2 at IP56 (powerful water jets) holds up far better than the Apple HomePod 2nd Gen at no water resistance.
