Short answer: the Zealot ZE41, which the notes call the absolute best value in the boombox class for bass performance, play time and max volume. It is the heaviest and biggest boombox around, and it costs $59.95 more than the Altec Lansing Rockbox XL 2.0. The Rockbox is IP67 waterproof and floats upright in water, but its treble is rolled off, its midrange is muddy, and its bass is not very deep.
Buy the Zealot ZE41. It is rated higher for sound quality; the Altec Lansing Rockbox XL 2.0 is no longer sold new.
