What the Adam Audio T8V offers: Quite balanced and neutral, very close to the Yamaha HS8. Watch for: A crossover-region notch around 4.6kHz where tweeter and woofer interact, and a hole in the vertical response below the tweeter axis - keep the tweeter at or above ear height.
What the Thomann Swissonic A306 offers: Powered two-way desktop/nearfield design with a shaped waveguide around the 1” silk dome tweeter and a 6.5” woofer, giving very good dispersion control - about ±60° horizontal, wider and more consistent than its closest direct… Watch for: Out of the box has an audible treble rise (symbols/sibilants get a bit of extra emphasis) and a mild dip in the lower mid-range/vocal region (200-400Hz) that the reviewer wished were filled in a bit more - both are addressable…
Buy the Thomann Swissonic A306. It ranks higher for sound quality than the Adam Audio T8V and costs less, so there is no real case for the other one.
Skip the Adam Audio T8V if sound quality matters to you. It ranks near the bottom of the 66 powered bookshelf speakers.

Pros: Measured -3dB extension of 39.6Hz gives useful bass depth for an affordable large monitor. Analog inputs and basic shelf controls offer uncomplicated studio integration.
Cons: The 5.42 ideal-subwoofer score and 3.0dB response span from 300Hz to 5kHz show less even tonal balance than stronger budget alternatives. Treble emphasis and crossover-region vertical cancellation make listening height important. Deep bass and an AMT tweeter do not by themselves imply accurate sound.

Pros: With the treble control set to -2dB, Erin measured a 6.40 ideal-subwoofer score and 43.9Hz -3dB bass extension. This is a useful affordable monitoring option when carefully set up, with onboard controls for basic tonal adjustment.
Cons: The published result is not the flat-control setting: it specifically uses -2dB treble. Even then, the response spans 2.8dB from 300Hz to 5kHz, so balance is not as even as the leaders. Bass output and vertical listening position remain practical limitations.
