Short answer: the JBL Partybox 100 ranks #6 of 50 party speakers by sound quality at $499.99; the Teufel Rockster Air 2 ranks #13 at $499.99. Close enough in price that the sound-quality gap is the deciding factor.
What the JBL Partybox 100 gets right: Quite neutral sound, pretty deep bass. Set against that: A slight peak in the upper mids. Slight TWS issue where the 2nd is slightly delayed.
The case for the Teufel Rockster Air 2: More consistent off-axis sound than the JBL Partybox 130, thanks to its single horn-loaded compression driver. The tradeoff: Bass isn’t as deep as the JBL Partybox 130’s boosted bass, though the JBL’s is boomy rather than truly deep.
Buy the JBL Partybox 100. It ranks higher for sound quality than the Teufel Rockster Air 2 at the same price, so there is no real case for the other one.
If battery life is a priority, the Teufel Rockster Air 2 is rated for 58 hours versus 12 hours for the JBL Partybox 100.

JBL Partybox 100: $499.99 Discontinued Amazon
Pros: Quite neutral sound, pretty deep bass.
Cons: A slight peak in the upper mids. Slight TWS issue where the 2nd is slightly delayed. Just as loud and slightly deeper bass than a Stormbox Blast which is way smaller with better sound quality. Note, JBL daisychain is not compatible with any other non-JBL speaker and is possibly a fully digital signal. Discontinued.

Teufel Rockster Air 2: $499.99 Amazon
Pros: More consistent off-axis sound than the JBL Partybox 130, thanks to its single horn-loaded compression driver. Projects sound more evenly to the sides, unlike the JBL’s narrower front-firing dispersion. Cleaner instrument separation at high volume than the JBL Partybox 130, which turns anemic and loses bass at max volume despite its bass boost.
Cons: Bass isn’t as deep as the JBL Partybox 130’s boosted bass, though the JBL’s is boomy rather than truly deep. Bass and treble aren’t perfectly controlled at maximum volume - can sound hollow or too bright unless turned down from default. Not meaningfully louder than its 3-year-old predecessor, and the reviewer found the overall tuning a bit worse.
