Short answer: the Electro-Voice Everse 8 for the higher ranking, the Bose S1 Pro for the lower price. The Electro-Voice Everse 8 ranks #11 of 44 party speakers at $799. The Bose S1 Pro ranks #12 at $699, $100 cheaper.
What the Bose S1 Pro gets right: Extremely compact and light with flexible placement options. The tradeoff: With full range music, it becomes distorted above ⅔ volume.
On the Electro-Voice Everse 8 side: Good midrange and treble. The catch: Not stereo.
One note: the Bose S1 Pro is discontinued, but it still ranks #12 of 44 party speakers, ahead of most of what is still sold new, so it is worth considering used.
Buy the Bose S1 Pro if the price matters more than the ranking. Buy the Electro-Voice Everse 8 if the ranking matters more than the price.

Bose S1 Pro: $699.00 Discontinued Amazon
Pros: Extremely compact and light with flexible placement options. Full sound with no lack of low-end output, crystal-clear audio quality. Three-channel mixer (2 mic/line + 1 line/Bluetooth). Auto EQ adjusts sound based on orientation. Multiple angled surfaces for various positioning including tilted portrait mode. Up to 11 hours battery life. Professional build quality.
Cons: With full range music, it becomes distorted above ⅔ volume. Better suited for voice amplification. Not as much deep bass as the Everse 8, midrange sounds reasonably balanced. Treble is pretty boosted. Not stereo. Designed for more loudness than deeper bass. Discontinued.
