Last updated: August 20, 2026

Short answer: the JBL Partybox 130. It ranks #5 of 50 party speakers by sound quality at $449.95; the Audiocase S10 ranks #34 and costs $892, so there is not much of a tradeoff to weigh.

What the JBL Partybox 130 gets right: Handle and wheels are convenient. The tradeoff: Boomier and less clear than the Partybox 120. High price.

What the Audiocase S10 offers: One of the loudest in category. Set against that: Not great sounding at low volumes. Better sounding at louder volumes.

One note: the Audiocase S10 is discontinued, but it still ranks #34 of 50 party speakers by sound quality, ahead of most of what is still sold new, so it is worth considering used.

Buy the JBL Partybox 130. It ranks higher for sound quality than the Audiocase S10 and costs less, so there is no real case for the other one.

If battery life is a priority, the Audiocase S10 is rated for 30 hours versus 15 hours for the JBL Partybox 130.

If water resistance matters to you, the JBL Partybox 130 at IPX4 (splashing) holds up far better than the Audiocase S10 at no water resistance.
