These sit in different size classes, so this is not a straight ranking comparison. The JBL Partybox 110 ranks #7 of 50 party speakers by sound quality at $299.95; the Tribit Maxsound Plus V1/V2/Thunderbox Plus ranks #21 of 135 medium speakers by sound quality at $79.99.
The case for the JBL Partybox 110: very neutral sound, a slight step up from the Partybox 100, and a real party speaker rather than a compact portable. The catch: bass isn’t quite as deep as the Partybox 100, and JBL’s daisychain feature won’t talk to non-JBL speakers.
What the Tribit Maxsound Plus V1/V2/Thunderbox Plus gets right: Xbass mode gets you its flattest frequency response, and the V1, V2 and Thunderbox Plus variants all sound identical. Set against that: slightly less deep bass than the best in its category - and it’s a much smaller, more casual speaker than a dedicated party speaker like the Partybox 110.
Buy the JBL Partybox 110 at $299.95 if you want a party speaker. Buy the Tribit Maxsound Plus V1/V2/Thunderbox Plus at $79.99 if you want a medium speaker instead.
If battery life is a priority, the Tribit Maxsound Plus V1/V2/Thunderbox Plus is rated for 20 hours versus 12 hours for the JBL Partybox 110.
If water resistance matters to you, the Tribit Maxsound Plus V1/V2/Thunderbox Plus at IPX7 (brief submersion) holds up far better than the JBL Partybox 110 at IPX4 (splashing).

The Two Speakers In Full
JBL Partybox 110: $299.95 Amazon
Pros: Very neutral sound, slightly better than the Partybox 100.
Cons: Bass isn’t as deep as the Partybox 100. Just as loud and slightly deeper than a Stormbox Blast which is way smaller with better sound. Increase treble one step in the app to make it more neutral. Note, JBL daisychain is not compatible with any other non-JBL speaker and is possibly a fully digital signal.
